  • Hello,

we upgraded our two XGS2100 appliances to SFOS 20.

A great feature for us is that any (0.0.0.0) is possible as a remote gateway ip in defined ipsec tunnel interface configurations.

Also the automatic adjustment of the Web UI and the seperation / the new of the vpn service portal is very good.

We miss the following features (These were much better in Sophos UTM)

    - Access to detailed logfiles for HA-Cluster activity from web ui (at the moment we can only debug through SSH)
    This was possible in UTM

    - The possibility to use Sophos XGS as NTP Server (not only NTP Client)
    This was possible in UTM

    Best regards

    Benedict Poppe

  • Adding more details to the Logviewer for HA Logs are on the backlog for future designs.

NTP Server could be quite easily reproduced by:  Sophos Firewall: Using NAT to achieve NTP proxy like functionality  Which brings the advantages of using Logs and Details like IPS on the firewall rule as well.
