Sophos Central FW Managment Firewall Rule Groups

where are the Firewall Rule Groups in Central?

I am not able to group the rules, how is this done via Central?

    Hi Sven,

    we;'re workng on plans to support a more structured ordering of rules in Central, which would use groups to help with organization. If you could create many policies in Central, and assign them more flexibly to firewalls than the current group structure, do you think that would replace the need for groups in Central? For example:I might group rules related to LAN to WAN traffic in the local firewall UI. But if I could define a policy in Central that just included the rules I would group, and when they're assigned to a firewall, they would be created as a firewall group, Would that operation replace the need for groups in Central, or do you have uses you would still want to group rules?

    I think some structur wwith grouping is needed in Cental and replicated to the firewall.

    As it is now, it is only useable for a few rules. When you have to manage hundreds, Central Firewall Manager is useless.

    Thanks Sven, both Central as a whole and firewall management are planning improvements to grouping and tagging, for rbac and policy assignment. We'll have more news early next year on timelines for firewall policy management improvements.
