Google Meet Only working on WIFI

Hi,

Google Meet is only working on the WIFI, however timing out on the LAN (network error)

I have set up a rule to allow ALL types of connections LAN-WIFI to connect to Google Meet, please see below for rule. Please let me know if there's anything that doesn't look right

  • Hi,

Thanks for the reply. I've created a URL Group with those websites, then created a new policy to allow and linked together, I'm just a bit stumped how to apply to my original rule.

I see the amber triangle, it wants me to add to a rule, however when I select the rule there's nothing indicating that it's attached.

All I can see is ADD firewall rule, am I missing here, or do I need another coffee?

  • Hi,

you skip that step and the edit your firewall rule and select the web policy from the drop down list.

  • Hi,

Google Meet is still failing only on the LAN. On the Firewall the Port 7 for LAN, however I cannot see where the block is as I have selected ANY in Source zones and Source Networks and Devices. Could I have been mistaken and misconstrue what Source Networks and Devices mean, should I swap the info that I entered for SOURCE for the info I entered for destination and service?

  • Hi, Stu,

your configuration is correct from what I can see.

Are you using the web proxy?

What zone is your port 7 in?

What does logviewer show as the failing reason?

  • Hi,

So I realised there is another rule knocking everything out, however I can't seem to point the exception to my rule I have already made, have a look at the log below and subsequent exception, I am sure it's something I'm missing as I ran the live log page with refreshing the google meet session, at every case it shows the same info.
