Migrating to newer hardware

Since i haven't found satisfying answer..

I bought a new hardware for Sophos OS XG - the new hardware is completely different than old one. Can i restore old backup config to a new one ? of-course Software version will be the same :)

    If new hardware has same number of interfaces or higher than the old hardware, configuration backup from old to new hardware would work. 

    Could you please share details of your old and new hardware?

    Sure i just forgot to mention.

    Old hardware:

    Intel atom: 4cores 1.7ghz

    2NICs

    240GB SSS

    New Hardware':

    Inyel i5 3470  4 cores 3.2ghz

    4NICs (,intel) pcie card

    60GB ssd

    Pls tell me aslo that  maybe its recommended to deploy a new installation? If not

    I hope that its not going to read only 2NICs cuz of previous config from old machine ;)
