Adding traffic shaping to an existing VPN

Quick question.  Will adding a traffic shaping policy to an existing VPN require any of the following?

1. Reboot of endpoint XG appliances ?

2. Disconnect/reconnect of existing ACTIVE VPN.

3. Will the new traffic shaping policy need to be applied to both sides of the Site to Site VPN?

    QoS is applied on the fly to new connection. I mean, if there is a TCP traffic going, the QoS is not applied. As soon the TCP connection terminates, the QoS applies.

    You do not need to disconnect active VPN or reboot XG appliances.
