VPN Control of BYOD

Hi, my SME company if planning on deploying an XG 210 next year to improve security and provide VPN access. The question of allowing/enabling BYOD devices to connect to the VPN has been raised. I'm aware that certain devices that support VPN connectivity also allow you to control which devices can connect, by establishing policies regarding patching and/or security software, i.e. is it fully patched, and does it run AV/malware software. Does the XG firewall provide such a feature? TIA.

  • Hello Glenn,

to test compliance of devices with several minimum standards and to control patching of such devices I would recommend you use Sophos Mobile Central in addition to an XG firewall.
