Sophos Firewall v18.5 MR1-1 (Build 365) is Now Available

As part of the continual refinement of our hardware products, Sophos Firewall v18.5 MR1-1 (Build 365) optimizes performance for the XGS 4300, XGS 4500, XGS 5500 and XGS 6500 models via an Xstream Flow Processor driver update.

• Xstream Flow Processor driver update related to performance optimizations, mandatory for XGS 4300/4500/5500/6500

There are no further updates included in this release.

This release is available to customers with the above-mentioned models only. We recommend that all customers with these models apply this update as soon as possible.

MR1-1 is not available for other XGS Series models, XG Series models, or for virtual or cloud deployments.

The next, highly-anticipated release, v18.5 MR2, which includes a number of new features plus a significant number of bug fixes, will be available soon. Watch out for more information on that very soon.

Upgrade as soon as possible

Sophos Firewall v18.5 MR1-1 is an easy and fully supported upgrade from any v18.5 versions. As this release is available to customers with the above-mentioned models only, upgrade from a version other than v18.5 is not a valid scenario. Please refer to the Upgrade information tab in the release notes for more details.

How to get it

As usual, this firmware update is no charge for all licensed Sophos Firewall customers. The firmware has been rolled out automatically to all eligible XGS series models. Please refer to the documentation for more information on how to apply firmware updates.
