Email Notifications in iOS Not Showing

We have recently started to enrol some iOS 10 devices, with the Sophos email app.

The app works fine apart from any visual or audible notifications. The app icon counter is also often very far out of sync. Background refresh is enabled, and the app is open in the background as per some older questions asked on here, but still no notifications appear.

While I understand that this is largely due to the way Apple have prioritised iPhone/iPad resources to the currently open app (and their own email client), I am hoping there is some way to get around this issue.

Many thanks,

Simon

  • After going back and forth with Sophos directly for weeks, we were later informed that this just isn't a feature that works on iOS at all. The engineer we spoke to said it may be in the next release, it may not; which might be out in Q3, it might not. Other posts on here promised it in June 2016.

  • Damm....

This tool is pretty useless for Apple users then! My users are complaining about not getting mails and calender popups so they forgets meetings, thats not the idea using this tool. Baaah...

Hopefully soon fixed, else this is alot of money out of the window!
