I've had Sophos Internet Security on my Android phone (Kitkat 4.4.2). Two days ago, my battery life - which had always been good - turned horrible. The phone was almost drained after being on for just two hours. I believe this is related to the latest update.
Looking at battery usage, the culprit appeared to be Sophos - using 76% of the battery resources. I uninstalled, but the battery problem persists. Looking again at the battery usage, the culprit is "com.sophos.smsec" using 76% of the battery resources.
I reinstalled Sophos, then made sure Sophos was not checked under "Device Administrators" and uninstalled again. But, "com.sophos.smsec" remains. Again, using 76% of the battery.
How do I get rid of "com.sophos.smsec"?
Thanks.
