iOS Devices only allow 1 and 3 days for mail to sync even though email profile on server is set to 30 Days

We seem to be having issues with not being able to set our iOS devices to sync emails for 30 days only. It is set to 30 days on the email profile created on the server but when it is deployed to the device the only option is 1 and 3 days to sync. Only way around this is to set to Unlimited on the profile but that is not a practical option considering the amount of emails we have. Everything seems to be working correctly, able to push wifi to device, lock device, email profile. So we know that the device and server are communicating correctly. We would simply like to set our iOS devices to sync emails for 30 days not just 1 or 3.

    We figured out the solution to the sync days issue. We use zimbra for our email server and there is a setting that needs to be changed in zimbra admin. Zimbra admin settings supersede Sophos mobile settings. We had "Past email items sync'd" set to 3 days. This was never an issue with our past MDM which is why we were so confused and never looked towards zimbra. Made that change to 30 days as well as tested it with unlimited, updated email profile and now we can sync the appropriate days. Hopefully this helps anyone using Sophos Mobile with Zimbra in the future. Props to Stefan Dunz, Global Escalation Support Engineer

    Change individual account: sign into zimbra admin, manage, accounts, right click account that needs changed, edit, mobile access, sync settings, past email items sync'd

    Change all accounts: sign into zimbra admin, configure, default COS, right click and edit, mobile access, sync settings, past email ites sync'd
