Today, on my Samsung S9+, the Android system, despite having an exception in Device Management, allowing Sophos Mobile to avoid being put to sleep, alerted and indicated that the Sophos Mobile Security was overloading the system and would be shut down. The exact message was: "Some apps or processes are overloading the system (CPU) and need to be closed." An indication below the message was that the app was consuming 25.49% of the CPU.
I'm not as concerned about the shorter battery life, as the S9+ has excess capacity, but the CPU consumption suggests that something is not right. The device is mostly idle during the day, so there shouldn't be anything new on the device for Mobile Security to scan. What is it doing?
