I just recently installed Sophos antivirus free from Google Play Store.
I followed all instructions so all suggested checks are green and app page shows no issues with a big green check mark.
The notification bar has the requisite icon in place and all is well.
My question is about the app icon in the app drawer. The icon has a green dot on it which usually indicates a notification in Android 8.
I repeatedly check the app and all is well. Is the green dot merely indicating the ever present notification icon or am I missing something in my setup?
