[Sophos Notification] Synchronization or enrollment of an iOS 11.3 device fails with Sophos Mobile

Hey Community,

Excerpts below from this KB Article:

After an update to iOS 11.3 the mobile device is not able to synchronize with the Sophos Mobile server anymore.
When trying to send out a synchronization task, the following error is shown within the task details:

AvailableOSUpdatesError[2213] [DeviceManagement.error] null [3] [com.apple.softwareupdateservices.errors] null

Enrolling new devices running iOS 11.3 will fail with the same error and task bundle processing is aborted.
The device will be listed as "enrolled" and installing profiles or apps should also work afterwards.

However, not all device details are correctly synchronized due to the above error. For example, information on whether a passcode is enabled or not might be missing.

This behavior is caused by a change within the iOS mobile device management (MDM) protocol Sophos Mobile utilizes.

At the moment, it is recommended to inform users not to update to iOS 11.3.
If devices are updated, Mobile Device Management capabilities are not available until the upcoming Sophos Mobile patch is installed.

Sophos is currently working on patches for Sophos Mobile 7.1 and Sophos Mobile 8.0 to fix this behavior.
Former versions of Sophos Mobile will not receive a patch.

Alternatively, updating the Sophos Mobile server to version 8.1 (which is already available) also solves the problem.

Regards,
