Sophos SUM 4.3 - Port 4444 no response

Dear community,

i´m facing a weird situation. When trying to access the WebAdmin via IP:4444 i got no response anymore. I need some helpful thoughts about how to fix that issue. Following i´ll describe what i have tried so for and some more background informations:

 

- it is an virtual machine

- it worked 3 days ago, as far as i know - no changes where made 

- access to the gateway manager via IP:4422 works well as exepected

- access via ssh isn´t configured, unfortunately

- license is valid (got a new one last week)..at least i think so, was accepted without problems

- tried to access from different client IPs and subnet (to avoid potential blocking behavoirs) and waited some time (600sec blocking behavoirs)

- tested access via telnet - no response from port (4422 works well)

- no firewall rule blocking / no NAT

- rebooted system, shut system completly down for more then 5min

 

Actually i just see just the option to reinstall the whole system (which i´m trying to avoid, cause lack of configuration backup).

So my question is: Did someone ever have such a situation and could solve it? When yes, would you like to share your informations about?
