Cannot access webadmin

Last nite I successfully installed astaro but  i can not access web admin on my laptop.

I had connected in following:

modem - switch - astaro - laptop

i type the ip address got on last screen of installation but nothing coming up.

It says unable to connect to internet.

try turning off firewall on laptop but no success


If sm1 can help me I will really appreciate that

    Hi, are you sure you're plugged into the correct NIC on the firewall?

    Did you give the laptop a static IP address on the same network as the firewall's address?

    I did not try that. Could u pls give me in depth on how to do this? 
    And I had turned off wireless on my laptop...

    It works when I changed my laptop wired connection to static ip.... Thanks

    But now m trying to get into webadmin it's not accepting my username and password. I had tried all the options. I try reset but no luck....

    On first screen in hurry I put my country as Oman instead of Canada, I don't know if that could be the reason..

    If u know how to fix, it will give me another learning.

    Hi, inderdodd, and welcome to the User BB!

    Since you're just getting started, try a factory reset in 'Management >> System Settings' or just re-install from the CD.

    As root at the command line, run: cc system_factory_reset

    Its up and running but I can't access Internet on my pc.

    I had connected in following:

    Modem-astaro- switch- pc

    I don't know how to set rules to allow internet. Looking at YouTube video my 
    Eth0 and eth1 are UP.

    Did the Setup Wizard run when you connected to WebAdmin?
    It is designed to get your LAN on the internet.

    Anyways, if not,

    1. create a Masquerading rule (Under NAT) for your LAN to your External NIC Address.

    2. create a packetfilter rule:
    source: LAN Network
    service: ANY
    dest: Internet
    Allow

    I would also recommend reading the manual, which is available under the Support section of your Firewall's web admin.

    Still no luck..

    At eth0 I got internal network and eth1 is for external network.

    Eth1 is connected to Rogers modem.  So I had selected it as cable( dhcp) option when I was configuring eth1 port. Does I have to select cable modem or just Ethernet standard? Because with Ethernet standard it ask for ip address and I don't know which one should I provide.

    Eth0 is internal connected to switch and then my pc.
    I don't know where I am getting wrong and it's getting frustrated..

    Does I have to do anything with dns. Rite now my router is acting as dhcp and I will turn into access point after successful installation of Astaro network.

    Pls help me to sort this out, I don't want to leave this in middle...

    If your ISP provides DHCP, choose Cable Modem.

    Did you add the masquerading rule?

    Do you have your computers using Astaro as the gateway, and not the router?
    What DNS server are they using?
    Best if you turn DHCP off on the router, and disconnect the WAN port of the router, plugging a LAN port into eth0 on the Astaro.
