Hello,
I am trying to configure smtp authentication, but can not get it to work the way i intend it to.
Authentication Methods: is set to local users, and I have created som local users with smtp access.
I'm not allowed to connect from outside. Now if I allow relay from everywhere it will work, but i'm not interested in that, since that will give me an open relay, that's not good. And I can not allow relay from anybody, since I don't know the ip adresse from which the users might come from. Are there any guidelines to configuring smtp authentication without configuring to a global open relay? I would think that authenticating ought to be enough to allow smtp'ing through the system.
any ideas?
