Hi!
One of our customers would like to use the Outlook App instead of the native mailclient.
So I imported the app from Android for Work Playstore.
Now I have the option to preconfigure the app.
There are many parameters i have to enter.
Do you have the definitions of the parameters to enter?
Thanks a lot.
Malte Borcherding
Hi Malte Borcherding
Can you please let me know which parameters are you talking about? A photo or some description would really help.
Also, are you looking to setup corporate email on Outlook instead of Sophos Secure Email app?
In reply to Yashraj:
These are the parameters I am looking for.
In reply to Malte Borcherding:
hi did you get any info on the parameters?
In reply to Andrew Mullins:
hi,
not yet
I could be wrong, but from the looks of it much of this would be specific to your organizations email settings for your domain. Unless you are using a common email provider such as gmail or yahoo then it would be there info.
You can enter these parameters in the email address and username field respectively - %_EMAILADDRESS_% and %_USERNAME_%. Other parameters like exchange server url should be filled out with appropriate information.
Hi,
thanks a lot for your Answer!
Those parameters are also clear to me, but what about the others?
Are those not necessary?
Best Greetings,
Malte
that info comes from the stndard email profile page, ill be doing some testing later and will come back to you.
no luck at the moment, device enrolled in device owner mode, apps approved on google play, little config added to the app via parameters, app install and prompts for email address upon opening the app
Are you trying these
Those appear to be wildcards so I think it would prompt for the email address when the app is first opened.
In reply to badrobot:
yes the default config from email profiles
with those parameters added it should autofill from the details from the device object in SMC, populate the user details. must be doing something wrong :-)
Ok I see what you are getting it now.
i was hesitant about sending configuration to google using the button in SMC but as it turns out this is a requirement. its says it takes a while so will update you monday.
or do we use these docs.microsoft.com/.../outlook-for-ios-and-android-configuration-with-microsoft-intune
