Sophos PureMessage Web Quarantine Deleted Messages

Dear Community

In the Sophos PureMessage you have the category 'Deleted Messages'. How do you permanently delete the messages in there? The only button which is shown is 'Undelete Message'.

Thanks.

Regards,
Marco

  • These messages will be processed when the expiry job runs - All quarantined messages (including those in trash) are subject to expiry after a certain period of time. The expiry time is configured in: /opt/pmx6/etc/pmx.d/quarantine_expire.conf

By default, expired messages are archived and will be backed up to a compressed file in this location: /opt/pmx6/home/archive/

If you wanted messages completely removed off the system you would need to disable archiving so when the expiry job runs they get deleted permanently.

Note: If the message has expired and archiving has been disabled then it will not be possible to recover the expired message.
