How do i know whether an email is having attachment or not in logs.

Hi,

I would like to know about is there any way to find out, an email which received to our exchange server is having an attachment or not from Sophos Email Appliance logs.

Hello AnsarMakkar,

Inspect the mail logs for an entry that corresponds with the required message. On the Search tab, on the Search Insidebar, select Mail Logs, and click Search.

You can create a new data control rule which does nothing on the main action, but just tag the names of the attachments in the logs:

on the logs you can find the key with the prefix user_ Eg: user_attachments in this case
