Install SVE into Hyper-V Cluster environment

We have a 4 node Hyper-V cluster environment where we host all our VMs. When I try to use the SVE installer, it installs the SVM onto a single node in the cluster and does not set the VM up as highly available. When I convert the VM to a highly available VM within the cluster, we lose communication with the VM through the network. 

I have contacted Sophos technical support about this but they just directed me to the standard installation documentation, which don't include instructions as to how to install the SVE VM into a Microsoft Hyper-V cluster as a highly available VM.

Has anyone been able to successfully install the SVE into a Hyper-V cluster and make it highly available and, if so, what is the procedure?

    Hello  

    We do not currently have failover capabilities within SVE, this is coming in version 1.2  - see https://community.sophos.com/products/server-protection-integration/f/sophos-for-virtual-environments/98665/update-on-1-2 

    SVE will choose the best available SVM automatically based on latency, so you will not need to set which are highly available. 

    SVE 1.2 will be released mid Feb so please install this version and feedback to me what you think.

         Thank you for your response. However, I think my question was misunderstood. My question was how to install the SVE VM into a 4 node Hyper-V cluster and make the VM highly available. That way, if the node the SVE VM is hosted on needs to be taken down for maintenance or goes offline due to a failure, the SVE VM will slide to one of the other available nodes and continue to run while the original node is worked on.

         The solution you provided with 1.2 involved setting up and additional SVE VM and having the GVMs failover to it if the first SVE VM goes offline. It does not address making the SVE VM highly available in a cluster environment.

         If you could provide an answer to my initial question it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

    We do not support the Microsoft 4 node Hyper-V clustering for making an SVM highly available. Can i just check that when you say SVE VM you mean the Secure Virtual Machine (the VM doing the scanning)?

    As mentioned, within SVE 1.2, if a SVM is taken down for maintenance or goes offline, the Guest VM will automatically pick another SVM to offer protection.
