After installing Guest VM Agent on Windows Server 2016 VMs they boot much slower

The Guest VM Agent seems to have a significant impact on boot times for Windows Server 2016 VMs. (20+ seconds)

After uninstalling the Sophos Guest VM Agent, Windows Server 2016 VMs boots at normal speeds.

Sorry you have seen degradation on Windows Server 2016.

We have an upcoming maintenance release which does have increase in performance goals. Would you have any logs or evidence you can send to support as any real world evidence would certainly be of benefit.

Also anecdotally could you tell support what is the machines main job (ie file server/mail server etc)

what apps are running and what are they doing on startup?
