SEC, EndPoint Protection and PureMessage

We implemented Endpoint Protection for our company's desktops and laptops managed via the Enterprise Console.  As the Exchange Administrator, I've been tasked with implementing PureMessage on our Exchange 2010 server.  We have not deployed EPP to our servers yet.  In the PureMessgae Startup Guide and associated documents, the enterprise console and SQL db(s) are discussed, but I'm unclear as to whether PureMessage utilizes the SQLExpress instance and DB installed on our SEC server or creates additional databases?  Do I select 'remote' at install time of PureMessage and select the SOPHOS instance on our SEC for the DB connection?

    Thanks for the reply, Christian.  We do have a dedicated SQL server, however SEC was not deployed using it for whatever reason.  Our DBA would prefer not to have another instance of SQL express installed on the network, so would it be better to use the SQL Express instance on our SEC server or to utilize a dedicated SQL Enterprise server for the PM DB?
