Sophos Enterprise Console Can't Connect

We are currently evaluating Sophos Endpoint Protection.  I've installed the product on our server and that's working fine.  However, when I try installing the Enterprise Console onto my desktop, it asks for the server name and port number.  I've tried various variations of the server name and consistently get "Cannot connect to <server name>.  Are you sure you want to continue?".  I'm not sure if it's a firewall issue as I'm able to telnet to the server on port 80.  Any suggestions?  I'm using the fully qualified name for the server name.  The installation of the Enterprise Console on the server is running fine.
