Installed SEC 5.4.0 on new server now have license issues.

I installed SEC 5.4 on a new server and everything appeared to be functioning as expected. Unfortunately I noticed that stopped downloading updates. When I checked the Update Manager sources settings I receive the error "Check of update source failed: 'License has expired. Our license is good through 2019.

We still have it installed on the old server and that one is working fine using the same source and Sophos account. Is it possible that Sophos is not letting the new server download the updates because the old server is online?

  • Hello Kevin Goforth,

not letting the new server download
veeery unlikely - I'm using two servers with the same license. Did you migrate or perform a fresh install? It's always a good idea to check and re-enter the credentials. Your about to upgrade to 5.5.0?

  • Fresh Install. Credentials have been double and triple checked on both servers. No plans to upgrade at this time. I should also add that this was done as part of a AD domain migration and the new server is on the new AD domain.
