Remote Update Manager

Hi, i had deploy a remote update manager to another server, when i click, update now in enterprise console, its state there software delivery failed. View update details its state unable to write the updates to the destination however all the security parameter had configure correctly in destination folder which i can create new file inside destination.  And when i go to remote update manager server using the log viewer to view whats actually going wrong, its state error : 12-May-17 3:02:36 PM Error Generation of share for product release 'Windows Endpoint Security and Control' version 'RECOMMENDED' failed to initialize.

 

Any advise?

    Hello SW Ong,

    I can't say if the verbose SUMTrace log has some information on why it failed to initialize. Could you please check the SUMTrace logs in %ProgramData%\Sophos\Update Manager\Logs\?
    all the security parameter had configure correctly
    Did you add a custom share in addition to the default \\RemoteSUM\SophosUpdate\? Otherwise you don't need to (actually can't) configure security.

    Hi, where to check inside the sumtrace log? is it inside main sophos server or remote sophos update manager? 

     

    i did not add custom share in additional to the default, is all set according to the guide provide by sophos.

     

    Kindly help
