"License has expired"

After having issues with update manager I just installed SEC 5.4.1. Now I'm having license issue "Check of update source failed due to unexpected error 'License has expired. Please renew your license and force an update'.

I know my license is good till 1/18/19.

Any ideas?

  • Hello Jatinder Sharma,

your download credentials (entered in the Update Manager configuration) are linked to a corresponding license on the backend. The message suggests that the credentials are known and correct but the license they are linked to has expired. Either your credentials have changed with your renewal and you entered the legacy credentials or there's any issue with our license. From the date you've given I assume that your were able to download after renewing your license - so legacy credentials seem to be a possible cause.

If you can't figure out what's wrong with your credentials please send an email to customercare@sophos.com (and - I'm not Sophos)
