Upgrading from 5.2 to 5.4 we get the error Unable to Install Database, a Custom Action Failed. I have tried following the KB articles that refer to this error but the solutions do not work for us. Has anyone else had this issue or suggestions on how to r

 You appear to be right on the money. The SQL server BINN was only part of the User path statement and not for the system. I moved it to the System path variable and the install has now progressed beyond the Database installation. Thank you for your help!
