Enterprise Console purgedb alternatives

We are seeking the ability to run a command line to delete specific computers from our Sophos database w/out needing to launch the console. We currently run a script which removes a computer from AD and other services and would like to add a line to remove the system from Sophos. Can anyone provide some guidance on how we can enable this to work? PurgeDB would be a great solution if there was an option to purge by computer name.

  • Hello AlexFranco,

writing to (or deleting from) the database is unsupported. It's not a secret though that the pivotal table is ComputersAndDeletedComputers and DELETE is the command of choice. If you search the forum with these two terms ... Please note that the computer name is not necessarily unique and that a computer deleted from the console remains in the database with the Deleted flag set. Also note that all associated data (alerts and events) will be removed as well.
