  • Hi,

Is the account that is being locked out just the one being used by the clients to update? i.e. the one defined in the updating policy.

By default when you install the management server you get requested for 2 accounts.  https://community.sophos.com/kb/en-us/113954.

Note: Both of the accounts can just be user accounts they don't need to be administrative.

Is the account being locked out just being used for updating and not for 'management'?

I would suggest you could create a new domain 'updating' account, and put that into the updating policies.  As the clients pick up the new account they will not lock out the new account.  As long as it has read access to the the SophosUpdate share on the server it should be fine.
