Linux install : add computer directly in specific group of the Entreprise Console

Hi,

I noticed an option under windows during installation, we can specify the destination group using : -G "\${ENTREPRISE-CONSOLE}\linux-computers" for example.

Is there any way to specify the group with a linux install ? Because I did not find...

  • The advantage is that we send our package into a custom repository (with reprepro) , so we need changelog, .desc, .deb and .tar.gz. mkinstpkg can't allow that.

Thank you again for your help :)

  • Hello AlexAbou Adam,

I'm a Linux illiterate and a packaging idiot. I understand the part about reprepro. You'd anyway have to create a package from the CID, supply the metainformation, and run install.sh with the required parameters. Admittedly this is a "universal" installer An archive built by. mkinstpkg also contains an install.sh. So in principle there shouldn't be much difference (actually from an idiot's POV mkinstpkg's output seems to be a better fit).

BTW: SAV is self-updating so you'd need the package(s) only for initial install. It's a good idea to rebuild the packages regularly but monthly (whenever new Detection data are released) should suffice.
