visual studio debugger cannot start...

Dev is running Visual studio 2015/enterprise and cannot run the debugger/compile

VS gives the error, "Unable to start debugging on the web server"

added folder exclusions, behavior monitoring of off, firewall is off

What am I missing here?

Hi,

I wonder if IPv6 is blocked. You say firewall is off? I assume it is Sophos Client Firewall?

Otherwise, maybe try removing Sophos detours DLL from the appinit_dlls key(s)? https://www.sophos.com/en-us/support/knowledgebase/36501.aspx. You could try preventing detours from loading and reboot.

nope it wasn't this.

I disabled 'Block file and printer sharing for other networks' and that seems to have worked.
