Sophos End Point Enterprise Console Failing to start!

Hi,

I have Sophos endpoint installed on a server in my network. the network admin who installed it left work and when i disabled his account in active directory the console failed to start.


I changed the update manager config and replaced his user name with another account , and did the same for four services running using the same account but it did not solve the problem.

Now i am stuck, i can't disable, delete or even change his account password for the sake of keeping the console accessible!

any suggestions?

  • You need to re run setup.exe (e.g. C:\sec_531\ServerInstaller\) to re-configure the install with a new account. The installer should be in the root of the C drive as per example given but if not just re-download the same version of the installer again.
