SEC server IP change and Relay servers IP change

I have one SEC console server and 6 SUM servers in my environment. We are moving these servers to a different data center. IPS will change because of new subnet , no changes on the hostnames. How to we keep communication between all servers ? I now this reflects changes to be made on the MRinit.config . We are using http://servername/SophosUpdates for the shares .
Thank you

  • Hello Jose Montero,

you might eventually want to amend your mrinit.confs. For now, if the  mrinit.confs contain the hostnames (they usually do) no immediate change should be necessary. For details please see Considerations when changing the IP address of the Sophos server. NB: You could remove the IPs from mrinit.conf instead of changing them. While we're at it - it's not required that the names (FQDNs) in mrinit.conf are CNAMEs, works well with aliases (quite handy when migrating/replacing servers).
