Updating Sophos using the Web

Hi,

I am working on setting the update policy for our laptops to update using the web. Since they are gone for prolong period of time I set the policy to use http://es-web-2.sophos.com/ in the enterprise console the policy applies to laptop but with the address http://es-web-2.sophos.com/CIDs/S000/SAVSCFXP/ in the properties for sophos auto update I can navigate to the address http://es-web-2.sophos.com in the browser on the laptop. However it say error in the update logs ERROR: Download of SAVXP failed from server http://es-web-2.sophos.com/CIDs/S000/SAVSCFXP/ same for the Auto update and RMSNT when i try to update.  Any help with be appreciated below are the log

enterpise console is 5.2 on server 2008 r2
the laptop is windows 7 enterprise with sophos 10.3

    Hello cptjck28,

    the mechanism for updating from Sophos (and the structure of the download location) is different from the normal one. Thus you have to use the generic Sophos address in the policy drop down (please note that it is only available for the Secondary location).

    [Edit] Also note that download of RMS will fail, which is the expected behaviour, and that the subscription has no effect (the endpoint updates the installed version and upgrades only when it either updates from a regular CID or the version is retired and force-upgraded on the Sophos side) [/Edit]
