Enterprise Console - Multiple Domains Deploy not work

Hello,

I have the problem that I can not push in another domain Sophos Anti-Virus. The error message is always 0x0000002E. It's not firewall or user rights problem. A manual installation is possible. I have already contacted the Sophos support but possibly a user has a solution. All Knowledgebase article over 0x0000002e have no solutions for me.

I suspect the problem is because the Enterprise Consle log on with a computer account to want create the Sophosupdate User and does not succeed in the foreign domain?

When installing user I give the administrator the foreign domain.

Has anyone also the console with multiple domains in operation?

  • HI,

    If you have:

    dom1\admin

    dom2\admin

SEC is installed in dom1 and you're trying to deploy to clientd in dom2, ensure that you use dom2\admin in SEC to deploy.

It is important that dom2\admin can logon to the SEC server in as far as the management service will need to impersonate dom2\admin.  If SEC is on a DC, if I recall correctly, you have to explicity enable admins from other domains to be able to logon to a DC.

Obviously ensure that dom2\admin is an admin over th target endpoints, i.e. ensure that it is either directly or inirectly a member of the local administrators group on the client.
