SMTP mail and Setting up Port 465

Wed are using Gmail for education and it uses SSL and port 465 to send out. how do i set up console to send out the Alert Emails.

Hello ricklancaster,

you can't select the port and I think the console does not (yet) speak SSL.

Hi ricklancaster, we are using Office 365 for Education and I setup the box that Sophos sits on to also act as an SMTP relay for programs and devices that don't support SSL or TLS. The server is running Server 2008 R2 and there is a huge amount written on how to set this up. I hope this helps.

We, too, are using Google Apps for Education. We could really use the ability to change to an SSL port, as well.
