Removable device audit on the network

hey 

i am looking to configure the USB or removable device audit on the network like who ever the uses the removable device on the network i need to get the notification or create a log of the computer / user for future reference. I heard that the Sophos Enterprise has an option of doing that but never done that before. Can someone guide me the right way..

    Hello kartheek,

    what you're looking for is probably Device Control with the Detect but do not block devices option. In the console, pane Policies (create and) edit a Device control policy make the appropriate settings as shown below (in the example MTP/PTP devices are also included).

    To view the events open the Event Viewer (console menu bar Events -> Device Control Events .... While they are also contained the history reports the user isn't available there.
