Data Control and Windows 10. I cant seem to get this to work.

Data Control and Windows 10.  I cant seem to get this to work.  I have created a test group and put my machine in it.  I have created a policy that has all of the Credit Card/Banking selected all with Email/Browsers etc.  basically I selected everything and then turned it on with email alerts and assigned it to my test group.  The data control shows active, but I can move CC data around with no issues.  Cut and Paste, Attach to a email, Google Search, nothing is being blocked and I have no log data being generated either.  Running Enterprise console 5.2.2, the AV agent is showing as 10.3.15 VE3.60.0 and Detection data is showing as 5.19.  Data Control Scanning status is Active and Data Control policy compliance is showing as same as policy.

  • Hello RonMerrifield,

(sorry for the late reply) is this - as I presume - your first test with Data Control?  Otherwise, if the same policy worked on other platforms, it's an issue with Windows 10.

From I have created a policy that has all of the Credit Card/Banking selected I understand that you've created a policy with a (and perhaps only one) rule with everything selected. If so, please see Data control problem. Admittedly it's not immediately obvious how rules and CCLs work together (in short: CCLs are ANDed, the resulting rules are ORed).
