Requested value 'stopScan/maxUpdateWaitTime' doesn't exist. [0xa03210001]

This error has appeared on my Enterprise Console for a Windows Server 2012 R2 Virtual Machine. Has anyone seen this error and able to offer any advice? I have tried the usual uninstall and reinstall, and searched the knowledge base articles.

SEC version is 5.4.1. This has the latest CID and Warehouse info.

  • Hello Timothy Pennock,

you are getting this error from the 2012 VM even after the reinstall? How frequent is it? Is it in the SAV.txt log on the server?

  • Yes I am. I've checked the sav.txt log on the server and there is nothing untoward. There are only four lines in the file.

This is what is showing in the SEC.

  • Hello Timothy Pennock,

SAV.txt should have at least one line added whenever new definitions are downloaded. You can easily check if it's "normal" by comparing it to another endpoint's.
This might be some infrastructure (COM) issue, can't say if it indicates some major problem. Is on-access scanning working as it should? You can check with either EICAR or the savtest32.exe tool from SEC's installation folder (\sec_541).
