So i've been told by your support team that your definition updates also update the client? As in, executing an MSI installer or other executable and performing an update to the actual antivirus client installation itself. I noticed this when our servers were all updated with a new client interface and moved from version 1.4.1 to 1.5.1.0 Is really true? I have never encountered an AV product that updated anything other than the definitions and the engine. If this is correct I have a big problem as we run a controlled environment and cannot simply have our systems running installers and upgrading software whenever it feels like it. If not, how do we prevent this from happening in the future?
