Sophos Ltd agent 11.5.6 started blocking IE 11

This agent block the IE 11 browser from executing on several of our clients desktop, both win 7 & 10, with an error message that stated the path could be found or not have adequate permission. By removing the agent we could restore the browser. What is the issue here ?

  • Are you getting Application Control events? It is possible to block IE with application control.

    Are you using SEC managed or Central Managed?  In either case can you check the Application Control policy applied to the client?
