Creating Linux Deployment Package, Fails to download from SEC when run.

Hi All,

I tried my best to search for the answer before posting, apologies if it's already elsewhere.

I have successfully installed Sophos onto an Ubuntu Server and manage it with my SEC by following step 3.1 here: https://www.sophos.com/en-us/medialibrary/PDFs/documentation/sec_54_sgeng.pdf

After that, I used the ./mkinstpkg tool to create a savinstpkg.tgz with the following parameters:

Do you accept the licence? Yes(Y)/No(N)
> y

Where do you want to install Sophos Anti-Virus? [/opt/sophos-av]
> y

Do you want to enable on-access scanning? Yes(Y)/No(N)
> y

Do you want to enable remote management? Yes(Y)/No(N)
> y

Updating from your own server.
Website or directory from which to update? []
> \\SECServer\SophosUpdate\CIDs\S155\savlinux

My update account is an AD account, I entered only the username and password where requested.

I then relocated that savinstpkg.tgz onto a clean Ubuntu desktop VM for testing.

I did verify that the VM can ping my SEC, but when I run it, I get:

Failed to download '\\SECServer\SophosUpdate\CIDs\S155\savlinux/savlinux/cidsync.upd': invalid authentication. Please check PrimaryUpdateUsername and PrimaryUpdatePassword.

Failed to replicate from all update sources
dpkg: error processing package savinstpkg (--install):
subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 61
Errors were encountered while processing:
savinstpkg

I know the username and password are correct as I just made some MAC installers the other day. I'm wondering if any of my syntax is off. Should I add my DOMAIN\username? Is my update server path syntax correct?

Thank you in advance!
