Sophos 10 swi_filter.dll crash

Question

We just deployed SAV 10 to a small group of users today and immediately complaints started rolling in regarding Firefox and IE crashing, or at least in IE just a tab crashing. I am able to consistently recreate the problem on Firefox and multiple versions of IE on various Windows 32 adn 64 bit platforms. The most consistent way to make it crash is to try look at the web interface for our Cisco WLAN controller and view the properties of a wireless AP. (I know that may seem obscure or mean nothing to most of you). All crashes seems to be on pages with a lot of javascript or other fancy stuff, so is pretty much a deal breaker for us. Rolling back to 9.7 now.

 We had similar problems with IE crashing on windows 10 LTSB. 
 My resolution was to disable "Enable Enhanced Protected Mode"

 How To Fix &ldquo;Internet Explorer Has Stopped Working&rdquo; Appcrash? 
 Internet explorer has stopped working is an appcrash error and its only occurs when your Windows (OS) or Internet Explorer might in bit of problem and whenever you&rsquo;ve opened or worked on your Internet explorer a pop-up says something like sort of &lsquo;Internet Explorer isn&rsquo;t working&rsquo; with some information saying about &lsquo;some problem caused this program to prevent performing correctly & Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available&rsquo; 
 So, recently I&rsquo;ve done some sort of Ph.D. for this error and just wrote every possible working trick, tips, and setting configuration listed in this article to fix this error and you&rsquo;ll never gonna find other beside these solution in the whole internet so don&rsquo;t waste your time and just read the tutorial properly and implement the solutions stuff for yourself. 
 Fixing Add-Ons &ndash; Add-ons are browser extensions which our browser uses to improve your user experience on any particular type of webpage who also contains or providing multimedia or interactive stuffs. Sometimes Add-ons do cause our internet explorer to stop responding and showing this &ldquo;Internet Explorer Has Stopped Working&rdquo; error on the computer&rsquo;s screen. 
 Disabling them is the only way to fix it and it&rsquo;s also easy to do: 
 
 Open your window run command by pressing Windows + R key and type &ldquo;inetcpl.cpl&rdquo; on it and press enter to open internet properties.

Now select the program tab and click on &ldquo;manage add-ons&rdquo; buttons to open add-ons manager on the screen and after that you&rsquo;ll able to see the every installed add-ons on your internet explorer. 
 After that disable every enabled Add-ons one by one, by using disable button on the right bottom side of that window. 
 
 Make sure you do select a single add-ons on that window or otherwise it will don&rsquo;t show you that disable button: 
 
 After disabling every add-ons of your browser, you&rsquo;ll need to restart your computer and test it right after when it&rsquo;s get open. 
 Sometimes it will fix your problem and if it does works for you then you can try to enable those add-ons one by one until you&rsquo;ve find the faulty one. 
 Fixing Hardware Acceleration Setting &ndash; In the Advanced tab of internet properties you can see the first setting listed as &ldquo;[_] use software rendering instead of gpu rendering&rdquo; under the accelerated graphics. This setting is all about on who do the graphic work for media contained webpage, does CPU handles the graphical load or the GPU. 
 >> If you&rsquo;ll tick it, that will make your browser to transfer all graphical work on your computer&rsquo;s CPU. 
 >> If you&rsquo;ll leave it unticked, that will make your browser to transfer all graphical work on your computer&rsquo;s GPU. 
 I&rsquo;ll suggest you to change that setting opposite whatever it was ticked or un-ticked. I mean tick it if it&rsquo;s unticked or vice-versa. 
 Make sure to save that setting by clicking Apply button on the bottom of properties window:
