So my Sophos updatated to 9.6.1 version and I noticed this thing appearing in the log section
com.sophos.oas: Using IDE files:
com.sophos.oas: age-auph.ide age-aurl.ide age-autu.ide age-auvh.ide age-auvn.ide age-auwh.ide age-auxj.ide age-avef.ide age-avfe.ide
com.sophos.oas: age-avgx.ide andro-pg.ide andro-pi.ide andro-pu.ide auto-bun.ide auto-buz.ide auto-bwk.ide bank-grg.ide bank-gri.ide
and a long stream of things.
What is this? Is this normal that this shows up at random times, like when I first turn on my computer and sophos turns on or when it checks for updates?
Will it go away at some point? Or do I need to do something? Is my sophos not running on the latest version? Because I also noticed this
In the past when Sophos has checked for updates and found them it would download them and then once they had been downloaded the little sheild icon would turn from filled in black to white, like it would when you first turn on the computer. Then after a moment it would come back on and in the log section it would have the Started On-access protection within ScanD etc etc
But now instead of that it checks for downloads, it installs them and now it does not seem to turn off sophos as it reconfigures the update, and in the log section it says
com.sophos.autoupdate: Download completed at 02:24:22 06 February 2017
com.sophos.autoupdate: Update started at 02:24:22 06 February 2017
com.sophos.autoupdate: Update completed at 02:24:31 06 February 2017
com.sophos.autoupdate: Info: Checked primary server at 02:24 on 06 February 2017
com.sophos.autoupdate: Sophos Anti-Virus was updated
Then it is followed by the long stream of using IDE files.
Now this is new and just started yesterday for all I know. But is this some new feature? Is this how it is supposed to happening or is there something wrong with my sophos? Because I have not changed anything and I tried uninstalling and reinstalling to see if that fixes it but it has not.
I guess I am just wondering if the downloads are not going through properly? Cause on the sophos thing it says IDE files are a supplement to regular engine and full threat updates, and not a replacement. For full protection you must use Sophos Anti-Virus with the current engine version plus all of the latest IDE files.
I thought I was getting the full protection. What do I do?
This is what It looked like in the past

So there is no longer a moment where after it checks for updates and finds them that it reconfigures, on-access protection turns off and then after a moment turns back on.
Is this due to a change in the program following the update or is this some kind of problem I need to be worried about? I just want to make sure my program is updating correctly.
Home Edition version 9.6.1
Threat detection engine: 3.68.0
Threat data: 5.35

Enpoint for mac is the version I am using.
