No device control for the built-in ISO drive in Windows

Hello,

The built-in ISO drive in Windows 8+ can't be controlled with Sophos Endpoint Security. The feature is deactivated when CD/DVD drives are blocked and works when read permissions are set. When CD/DVD drives are blocked in the policy, no event log informs about the non-functional virtual ISO drive. Therefore we couldn't enable it with the appropriate Hardware-ID (SCSI\CdRomMsft____Virtual_DVD-ROM_).

Is there any possibility to enable the virtual ISO drive from Windows, without enable all CD/DVD drives in policy?

Regards,

Michael
