Hello, & hope this is in the correct forum.
I am trying to remove Sophos for Mac Version 7.1.5 but so far no go.
I should have thought to remove from the MacBook before updating to OS X 10.11 (previously 10.6.8) , but didn't expect problems.
The new OS moved the installation to an "incompatible software" folder which may have caused or worsened the problem.
There is no Sophos folder or remove Sophos tool in /Applications & no Sophos folder or Remove utility in /Library/Application Support.
Nothing obvious in preferences either.
Have also run the remove tool, however there is still an icon in the menu bar which is partially active in that it will display menus etc. Installing a new version seemed to take over this icon & display the current Sophos shield, but added a new icon for the new installation. I have removed the new installation as I need to clear the old one properly.
Any guidance appreciated.
