SavOnAccess Event ID error 564 multiple instances found when trouble shooting system slow-downs/freezing. Post Symantec encryption.

Hey Guys,

After full drive encryption with Symantec a few of our client's systems are freezing at one point of the day and it seems to be related to the SavOnAccess. I am seeing event ID 564 up to 20 times while the system was unresponsive and had to be hard booted down. Anyone have any idea's?

    Hi Alec,

    It sounds like you might need to set up some exclusions for the OnAccess scanning.

    Since you mentioned this is happening at one point of the day, can you confirm if you have anything scheduled to run on these machines right before that point. I am thinking something might trigger the OnAccess scanning and causes the slow system.

    Also, are there any other unusual events in the logs before of after this happens? 

    If you allow more time (let's say one hour) does the system ever recover?
