Web Intelligence Service Disconnecting Browser Based VPN Application

I've already raised this issue with Sophos Support, although I have a ticket (5736669), I have not had an update since last Friday hence me trying my luck here.

The Problem

Our business uses a third party web based application that connects via a browser based VPN connection. Since upgrading to IE11 two months ago, users are experiencing approximately a dozen disconnects per day. We have explored various areas for the root cause, before finally identifying that it is the Sophos Web Intelligence Service is the culprit.

When I manually stop the service, no disconnections are observed for several days.

On the AV & HIPS Policy Web Protection is Enabled and Download Scanning is set to As on-access scanning. I have also entered the IP addresses of the website into the Authorisation Manager \ Websites list - yet, users still experience disconnects with the sites whitelisted.

From Googling and reading up from other posts, I have enabled verbose logging and have submitted the swifdiag.log and swisdiag.log log files to Sophos.

Can anyone else suggest areas I should check or things I can configure whilst I continue to wait on a response from support?
