How to use sav32cli to virus scan file uploaded to web server

We have a similar issue as raised in "Files uploaded from Web not being scanned", however we are attempting to use the CLI to run a shell command and scan an uploaded file.

Specifically, we are using the following command, ran under its own .Net process:

SAV32CLI -remove -nc -archive -all --stop-scan <path>

We have been using -remove -nc for some time, but now have a further requirement to scan all files, including compressed folders. The above command does not detect various items relating to an eicar test file:

  • a text version
  • a file located in an archive (zip, 7z)

We have successfully intercepted an eicar file with an amended extension (specifically to jpg).

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Thanks

Rodger
