We have several clients machines that stopped displaying the Sophos shield in the system tray. When I look at the services I notice that the Sophos Anti-Virus service is not running, so I right click on it and attempt to start it. I get an error message
"WIndows could not start the Sophos Anti-Virus service on Local COmputer. For more information, review the System Event Log. If this is a non-Microsoft service, contact the service vender, and refer to the specific error code -2147467259." When I look at the event log it is flooded with EVENT ID 0's comining from Sourrce Sophos AntiVirus Description: Exception caught in CInfrastructureModule::PreMessageLoop.
I also see Event ID 1000
What do I need to do so that the Sophos Anti-Virus will start running again?
